Rice Assistant Professor Anshumali Shrivastava has received an AFOSR YIP award for a project on Sub-Linear Algorithms for Learning and Sensing with Massive Data. He will be investigating the power of hashing algorithms for making state-of-the-art compressed sensing and information fusion methods more algorithmically efficient by cutting down memory and computation costs exponentially.
